Timing, announcements, quality — and what to do about the guests who hate technology.
Pick one drop-off point before the wedding and mention it three times: in the invitation, visibly on the tables, and again in the days after the party. A QR code plus a link beats any group chat, because guests install nothing and sign up nowhere.
The messenger compresses photos heavily for sending and strips their metadata, which is not enough for a print on the wall. On top of that there is no bulk download, the photos drown between voice notes, and sooner or later somebody clears the chat.
Three times works best. The first mention belongs in the invitation or on the wedding website, the second is a short announcement after dinner while everyone is seated, and the third is a reminder two or three days later. That last one usually brings in a whole wave of photos.
On Pro or Ultra you download every picture as the original file, including metadata such as capture date and camera model. The free plan serves photos in SD quality, which is fine for looking through but not for large prints.
Almost nothing changes for them: open the camera, hold it over the code, tap the banner, pick the photos. Nothing is installed and nothing is registered. If scanning still fails, send them the same link by message.
For as long as your event runs: two months on the free plan, twelve months on Pro and 24 months on Ultra, with renewals from €14.90. In practice most of the photos arrive within the first week after the wedding.
